'Davie Diesel' was one of the original members of the gang. Sadly he is no longer with us, having died recovering from a major heart by-pass operation a few years ago. He was a taxi driver who worked in Glasgow - hence the name 'Davie Diesel' (work that one out!!). 'Davie Diesel' loved the area around Lochgilphead and looked forward to his visits there. He was at home along the Crinan towpath watching the boats navigating the locks on their journey across the peninsula. Even later when his health was deteriorating he was loath to miss an outing. A nice, gentle man, he is sadly missed.
